What a Winter! ❄️🔥
It’s been a jam-packed winter at CrossFit Good Fortune! We kicked off our brand-new Nutrition Program, teamed up with Prepped to bring you delicious, ready-to-go meals, cheered on the Providence Bruins together, and saw our biggest turnout ever for the Intramural Open!
Now that the sun’s sticking around a little longer, we’re looking forward to what spring has in store. Here’s what’s coming up!

Pelvic Floor Workshop: Saturday 5/3 10AM
Join Dr. Susan Yebra from Encompass Pelvic Health for a workshop focused on Pelvic Floor Health with a focus on running & jumping. Our first workshop in the fall was such a success, we wanted to bring her back for another!

MURPH Hero Workout & Cookout: Sunday 5/25
Similar to last year, we will be running MURPH on Sunday 5/25. Following the last heat, we’ll have a cookout at the gym. We’re going to bring the grill down & will offer a variety of food options. We’ll have more details in the next few weeks on heats, scaling options & additional logistics to ensure a smooth event.
For those that may not be familiar with MURPH, below is some information on the origin of MURPH as well as the MURPH Challenge. This is a workout that CrossFit affiliates & other gyms throughout the world complete over Memorial Day weekend to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
“In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan, June 28, 2005. This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it ‘Body Armor.’ From here on, it will be referred to as ‘Murph’ in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.”
For time:
Run 1 mile
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
Run 1 mile
Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. If you’ve got a 20-lb vest or body armor, wear it.

The Murph Challenge is the Official annual fundraiser of the LT. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation, presented by Forged®. The preorder for MURPH T-Shirts & Tank Tops will be held Monday 4/21-Monday 4/28. There are samples of the t-shirt & tank top in the office for sizing. I’ve already washed them & I tend to shrink everything so you can get a feel for what they’ll be like. Sizes available: S-2XL
A limited number of extras will be ordered so if you think you want a shirt, pre-order is the way to go.
