I started CrossFit in 2016 right here at CrossFit Good Fortune as someone who had never done gymnastics and never touched a barbell. Years later, those are two of my favorite things! I've always been drawn to coaching. As a kid I acted as assistant coach for my soccer teams and trained others in martial arts, then later in the Coast Guard I became a Certified Instructor for Ship Handling and Navigation.
I've been coaching at CrossFit Good Fortune since 2018 and love applying the fitness I gain at the gym to activities out in the world.
Back in 2016, I was bored and unmotivated in the gym. I didn't really know what I was doing and just going through the motions at a 24-hour fitness center. Christine and I stumbled across CrossFit Good Fortune but then spent weeks debating about whether we could even do a CrossFit workout. Finally, we decided to just sign up and that was honestly the hardest part. Once we showed up the community welcomed us, the coaches guided us, and we've never looked back!
I'm passionate about using technique, coordination, and agility to take fitness to the next level. Whether you are new to the gym or an experienced athlete I want to help you improve your skills so you can do things you didn't know you could.
